**Prom** And avoiding Perv*rts.

Just a few prom photos to share of LoLo. I am not sharing any of her friends…just cause I shouldn’t without permission. I realized that might be a faux pas…and I have other concerns as well.

Picture perfect.

Her dress is actually gun metal gray and not black. Still, she worried she was not ‘colorful’ enough…silly kid, she radiates COLOR 24/7!

LoLo

Isn’t it cool how her earring caught the sunlight…yeah, we totally planned that.

Purty1

We really loved the back of this particular dress….and she has the ‘back’ for it.

LoLoback

To quote Lo:  IT was amazing! THE BEST PROM EVER!!!

And she has been to three…so she knows. She danced all night long and came home just after midnight…with a few less blingys on her dress. OY.

***

On Monday morning I checked my feedjit widget on my sidebar and I saw someone from Oregon was flying through my blog like a crazed maniac clicking on  my photos…well not ALL my photos; just the ones of the girls and I.

Yes. I know. ICK.

If you could have seen the visions I was picturing…I had to wash my eyes out with soap.

burn.

The only thing I could do at the time is pull off some of the recent photos and then I realized the perv was going too fast for me. I finally switched my blog to “PRIVATE”  and the creeper was blocked.

I resolved then and there not to post anymore photos of the kids.

Then I thought, heck that would be boring. So, I will monitor and I might eventually switch my blog to private (for invited readers only)  just to keep from washing my eyes out with soap.

double burn.

Anyone else have any issues with this?

  2. Oh jeez. I don't think I have ever had visiting preverts. I think it is extremely important to be polite as a blog visitor, and this must make you feel like a peeping Tom has burglarized your house? The star sunburst on your daughter's photo = AMAZING 🙂

  6. One thing I don't have to worry about is someone checking out my blog to look at my photo. Now if I was Mr.Bee, I would have to hire an armed guard to escort the daughter to the prom in order to keep the teen aged boys away.

  10. There was something like this on our local news recently and I thought, \”No way.\” I guess I was wrong :(Once in a great while I check the stats. The ones that alarm me are from the state government offices here. Repeatedly. Your girl really does radiate beauty. Absolutely lovely. Hope your lurker is gone for good. Then again, I bet she could beat him to a pulp faster than he could log out.

  12. She looks so beautiful! And I think her color choice for the dress is classic and will look great in photos from years to come (versus her neon pink counterparts!)….and I don't have a problem with photos probably because it is just me + husband + Beagle in most of them. Perhaps watermark them? I know some blogs have guards in place to prevent the copy/paste.

I wouldn't know anything other than the feejit, which says who is visiting from where…but what they are looking at? No clue! You are way smarter than I am, Suz!

ANYHOW—Lo's dress is fantastic –and she looks like a beauty queen.. Thanks for sharing.Hugs,Betsy

  25. Love that prom dress, and your daughter is gorgeous in it. Way to go catching the sun on the earring!I haven't noticed any photo-hopping pervs, but since I have mostly scenery, horses, and oldish riders, I wouldn't expect that kind of visitor. It is icky to think some creep was going through your pics.

  26. She and the dress are both beautiful. I love her eyes! You did good on those!!! The dress did not need any bright color because it is a sophisticated style. Color would have detracted from the design.I don't know how to monitor the activity on my blog either but if anybody went after my photos, we would definitely know the person had a problem – – – cuz we're old people!I can think of many punishments to give to hackers and the pervs. It is so wrong of them to ruin hard-working people's property and make us concerned for the safety of our family.

  27. How do I find out if I have issues with this?Umm…I wish I had the back for that dress. And the stomach. And the non-saggy-kid-rearin' boobs. A girl can dream.

  28. ok so the prom dress and your daughter belong in print…absolutely gorgeous in every way. The pervert? we can't stop em. We just have to be vigilant with keeping personal info off the blog…a different perv is watching you and she and her walk through the grocery store and yet another has enjoyed the view at a nice dinner out…so…they are out there and we can't stop out lives because of them but we can be vigilant…JMO.

  29. Aw Man! What a fun post. I was in Philly yesterday and missed all this hub-bub.And once again, I am not the Perv from OR. I'm the one from PA. But believe me, you and your girls are safe around me. You could totally walk around naked in my house and I wouldn't care at all. Except I may ask you to put down a towel before you sit. I practice safe house-keeping.Love her dress by the way.Your Friend, m.

If you privatize remember to include me. Even though I'm not as regular, I still love to catch up with you.

As long as you're careful to keep your real name and surroundings private they shouldn't be anything to worry about, really.Just cruisers with no backbone, looking for cheap thrills. Disgusting 😦

I just cruised through several of your posts, too, but don't worry I'm not a perv…and I promise not to click on any pics…though I must say that your daughter is gorgeous and that earring the sparkling earring serendipity is amazing.I clicked on your from Jenny Matlock's blog, and I'm glad I did. In fact, I am going to follow.=)PS. Which means that I, for one, hope you don't make the blog private.PPS. In all seriousness, I agree with what Terra said on the subject. But I do keep a close eye on who clicks on what and why, especially with my grandkids.
