My favorite time of day…

…isn’t the morning. But I still hold out hope that I could train myself to become a morning person.
I’m not really a horrible person in the morning.
Wait, what kind of reference could I use for horrible?
Disgruntled? Godzilla? yeah, it’s not pretty and I apologize to all of my people for that.

Obligatory photo of his-biscuits to make up for being godzilla- like

…isn’t bedtime either. Because, well, HELLO 3am my old familiar friend. I struggle with sleep. Struggle. It should be easy, but easy isn’t my thing apparently.

…isn’t dinner time. I’m not a big eater. Which is not the same thing as being a BIG eater. I don’t LOVE cooking, but I also DON’T love being hungry. It’s a tough balancing act.

….IS when I can take off my makeup, wash my face, remove my contacts, moisturize, take off my day bra and replace it with my night bra and don a pair of my beloved yogurt yoga pants. This is my favorite part of the day. And sadly (or joyfully?) on some days this part comes at 6pm.
6pm people….that makes me giddy. Joyful. relaxed. Happy.

Yep. I’m living the dream. Glamour. Glitz. Comfort.
I am lucky. Sooooo lucky.

Do you have a favorite time of YOUR day?

  1. You might hate me for that, but I'm a morning person. Being up when the house is still and quiet, having my first cup of coffee, watching the sunrise (through the windows in the cooler month, actually outside when it's warmer) – there's nothing better. Of course that means I turn into a pumpkin right around 10:00 at night. 😉

  2. well, since i normally don't wear a bra at all these days (except to exercise), and i live in sweats or shorts, and i gave up make-up years ago, i can agree with your liberated feeling. 🙂

  3. i love mornings once i am up but only because i feel like i can get so much done. i'm not a big talker though in the mornings, prefer to be on the quiet side but my husband will talk my ear off in the morning and that really annoys me. i also love the time of afternoon or evening that i wash my face too and take off my bra….wait, what's a bed time bra?

  4. Mornings ( when I'm home) for sure. Make some coffee, sit on the couch and catch up on a little news and the obligatory 1 hour of ESPN before the days chores begin.

  5. Hi There, We are home from George's fabulous birthday trip. I will blog about it tomorrow. It was truly a trip we will be talking about for a VERY long time!!!! I'm not a morning person either —EXCEPT when we are somewhere where I WILL get up early to see the sunrise… LOVE that!!! My favorite time of day is after dinner –when Hubby and I sit down together EVERY SINGLE NIGHT and watch one of our DVR'd shows on TV…. We cuddle and just have a wonderful hour together when we don't answer the phone nor the door or anything like that… Tis a wonderful hour of each day!Hugs,Betsy

  6. I like morning, if I can take time to wake up and drink a cup of coffee s.l.o.w.l.y. Late evening is also one of the best times for creativity.

  7. What is a 'day' bra vs. a 'night' bra? Curious…. have I been missing out on something all these years?

  8. My favorite time is on Friday night about 7:30 or 8 when I get in pajamas and don't have to take them off until I want to on Saturday. That is the one day we get to sleep late and also the one day we try to plan nothing away from home – – – – so we can look like we want and do the same! Of course if we do yardwork, I will upgrade my attire to an old T-shirt and knit pants! It is definitely not the day to take pics of us. It's so luxurious!
