Thank You & Cuteness Overload

Thank you all for your well wishes, prayers and all that Jazz regarding our Nathan. He completed The Crucible challenge uninjured. He was able to make a phone call on Sunday and of course, who did he call? NOT ME. He called Lolo and they spoke for over an hour. He’s doing well and I know she was so happy to hear his voice. Still, we will not see his face until August.

He did send me a text though, so I still love him.

I will be mostly MIA this week. The Coach and I traveled to our GA place and will be working on some projects and visiting with his Dad who is coming up for the first time.

Spring is IN the air. The trees and flowers are budding and blooming. Guess what else is happening? Butterflies! I’m a bit obsessed with the Tiger Swallowtail. Mostly because I don’t have them in Florida, but also because I’m obsessed with butterflies in general. Am I telling you something you don’t know? HELL NO. But I love that these guys are all waking up from their winters nap just to tell me hello.

Can you visually take any cuteness? I’m just warning you because if you can’t, this will hurt your eyeballs.

This is how they rolled for the first part of our drive. If I weren’t driving, I would have died from the cuteness, but when you’re driving, dying from cuteness is frowned upon.

Speaking of driving: Good Lord, the traffic. I’ve never seen it so bad. Apparently people ARE traveling for Easter/Spring break, but they are driving. It took an extra 2 hours this time. My body was so stressed/tense when I finally arrived to our house. Thank goodness Wine was all the help I needed to de-stress myself.

Callie is absolutely in love with little beds. I never knew. Here I was buying these HUGE and expensive XL beds for her and all she really wants is to curl up like she’s a damn chihuahua.

They love laying in the sun and took the opportunity to share the last sunny spot as it was dwindling. I died right there looking at them. Luckily, the Coach knows CPR and brought me back to life.

And that’s all I have to say about that.

I hope all my sweet friends had a nice Easter.

XOXO

Bee Well.

  1. Oh my goodness your fur babies are so cute! I love the one with Callie in the small bed and Lillie in the big one! I’m glad your future SIL got through The Crucible ok. August will be here before you know it!

  2. SSo glad Nathan has completed The Crucible challenge, bet it’s a relief to have that done and over with. Your babies are so adorable, cuteness overload for sure!

  3. Hooray for Nathan. Love that he texted you. Priorities. Oh my goodness, these dog friends are so dang cute. I think it is so funny that Callie prefers the small bed. Enjoy your projects and your butterfly hunting. Easter was very nice and relaxing. I think celebrating a day early and then chilling is the way to go. Oh, and sorry about the extra long ride. Nothing worse than dreading a long drive or at least bracing for it, and then having it turn into something LONGER. Ugh.

  4. I wondered if people were traveling for Easter weekend. Our subdivision was dead which usually mean everyone, except us, is on the road. Glad you found a way to decompress with wine. Your puppy photos are super cute! Enjoy your week.

    1. You might have been the only ones at home. 🙄
The dogs liking each other means so much to me. I always knew Callie wanted to have a friend to cuddle with as she tried with our last boxer Cocoa. Cocoa was indifferent and I think it hurt Callies feelings.
Do you think I worry about my dogs feelings too much? We both know the answer to that.

  5. I am so happy for you and your family. Sending you all love.
By the way, Atlanta traffic is typically bad, so I can only imagine how bad spring break/Easter traffic was.

Enjoy your time away. I am sure it is just beautiful there. Spring is springing up here this week, and it is lovely.

    1. Thank you!
I was never excited about spring before because I’ve never really experienced it…FL weather is pretty consistent, so this is fun! Enjoy your spring my friend. Atlanta traffic is always hell, this started in Florida and was consistent just north of Atlanta. I’m gonna go to hell from all the cussing.

  6. Good news about Nathan! We have Tiger and Spicebush Swallowtails in Ohio. Or at least that’s what I think they are. I’m not a professional like you!

We once drove to Charleston over spring break. Coming back was hell. It was all senior citizen snowbirds on I-77 heading back to their nests I guess.

  7. Callie is just claiming ALL THE TERRITORIES. She wants Lillie to know that she’s Alpha Dog and can have whatever bed she wants, when she wants it.

Or…maybe she feels petite and like Audrey Hepburn sometimes. We may never know.

When I drive from Ohio to Southern Maryland to go visiting, my friend greets me with a bottle of merlot and two naproxen. Driving around DC is literally painful. I know how you feel.

  8. Thanks for the update on Nathan, great news. I do not envy you the Atlanta traffic. I adore your doggies and I am so happy they love each other. Have a great day!
